About Mrs. Hanna

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am so excited to work with you and your child this year.  It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures.  I can’t wait to see what the year brings us.  I want to know all about you, but first let me tell you some things about me.​

I was raised in Deer Park and attended Deer Park schools.  I then attended the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) where I received my degree in Education.  ​

I am married to a wonderful man.   He is a crew chief (the one in charge) for drag racing teams and does social media for companies.  We have one son,  who is almost 11.  We also have a dog.  I love my little family and spending time with them.  I also love the Houston Astros.​

I began working at Dabbs Elementary in 2000.  I am starting my 24th year of teaching 3rd grade.  I love this grade and the people I work with.  My job is to continue the student’s love of learning.
