About Me

Hello! My name is Robin Chandler, and I am proud to serve as the P.E. teacher here at Dabbs Elementary. I was born and raised in Pasadena and began my teaching journey right here at Dabbs as a student-teacher in January 2002. After graduating from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in December 2003, I was blessed with the opportunity to join the Dabbs staff—and I’ve been here ever since!

Over my 22-year career, I have taught kindergarten and first grade, and for the past 13 years, I’ve loved teaching P.E. The Dabbs gym is truly my “happy place,” and my hope is that every student who walks through its doors feels the same joy and excitement for movement, play, and fitness.

Outside of school, I enjoy a full and busy life! My son is a sophomore at Texas State University in San Marcos, and I cherish every chance I get to spend time with him. In 2023, I married my wonderful husband, and together we are blessed with five adorable granddaughters we can never see enough of. Our family also includes two playful poodles, Hunter and Spotty.

In my free time, I love running, lifting weights, working in the yard, and being with family and friends. And when football season rolls around, you can bet I’m watching!
