About Me
WELCOME TO 1ST GRADE!
Student learning is a passion of mine and I am so excited to be working with your child this year. I have been teaching at Dabbs Elementary for 17 years. This is my second year to teach first grade. Previously I taught kindergarten for 15 years. I graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake with a degree in Computer Information Systems. I worked for an oil company for many years. After starting a family, I needed to work closer to home and went back to school to receive my teaching certification via the Alternative Certification Program offered from Region IV.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Andy and together we were blessed with four beautiful, bright children who all graduated from Deer Park High School.
It is my job to educate your child to their full potential and prepare them for second grade. To accomplish this, we will be working together to make sure your child is successful academically, emotionally, and socially in a safe, loving environment.
