Welcome!
Welcome! I am excited to be starting my 28th year here at Dabbs! I taught 2nd grade for 10 years, 3rd grade for 5 years, and this is my 13th year teaching Reading Recovery.
I lived in 3 states before I landed in Texas (New York, Alaska, and Washington). I met my husband in college and we graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State University) in 1996. I followed him back to Deer Park where we have lived ever since. Drew, my husband, is the Director for Transportation in the district. We have 2 beautiful daughters. Kendall graduated from Deer Park High School in 2017 and Texas State University in 2020. She is now a first grade teacher also! My youngest daughter, Parker, graduated from Deer Park High School in 2020. She attends Texas State University and is majoring in Education.
